Ilias Christopoulos was born in Kalamata in 1976. He has attended ceramics classes with Iro-Myrto Maganaris and Saimon Hill and is a member of the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece and the International Academy of Ceramics (IAC).
He is a founding member of the Trace Tiles Group (2011) and has taught ceramics at the art studios of DEPA in Patras, Kalamata, and Kyparissia, at the Alkyoni Association in Nafpaktos in 2006, and at the Art Hangout of Kalamata.
Since 1998 he has participated in the Panhellenic Exhibitions of Ceramic Art, and has won 3rd merit (2001), 3rd prize (2006), 2nd prizes (2008 and 2010), 1st commendation (2012), 1st commendation (2014), 1st commendation (2014) and several other titles in several exhibitions around Greece.
He has participated in 15 International Competition Exhibitions (Austria, France, Denmark, Spain, Italy, Japan, Hungary, Slovenia, China) and in group exhibitions and solo exhibitions in Greece and abroad.
His works are in the private collections of the Municipality of Maroussi, Museum of Ceramics vassiliou, Anetopoulos (Volos), 3rd International Triennial of Silicate Arts (Kecskemét, Hungary) and 2nd International Ceramic Triennial UNICUM 2012 (Maribor, Slovenia), Mino Museum (Japan) and the Museum of Ceramics in Beijing.
