No Birth No Death – Personal Excavations, an exhibition of Theodora Chorafas invites the audience to engage deeply with the artist’s reflections on our current moment in history—a time when the familiar structures of civilization appear to be disintegrating, yet a new, indefinable essence is beginning to emerge.

About the Exhibition:

Theodora Chorafas communicates her perspective on the contemporary human condition—marked by a universal sense of unraveling and uncertainty. Her work captures the essence of this collective anxiety, portraying it through embryonic forms, symbolic of something promising, and at the same time unrecognizable. These forms hint at potential and transformation, echoing the artist’s belief that out of this chaos, something new and hopeful is being born. She emphasizes the importance of presence, drawing inspiration from the words of Ram Dass: “Be here now.”

No Birth No Death – Personal Excavations urges us to connect with the Earth, our communities, and the resources that surround us and encourages a mindful engagement with the cycles of life, nurturing a sense of hope and resilience.
